step by step : how-to print your first covers...

1) select the desired output settings either by selecting cover templates (in menu on top of each cover) or by selecting a paper template (in the main menu).

it was requiered to have those 2 modes, the cover templates should be used to print on usual paper and if you bought special paper then you should use the paper templates mode.

2) open the picture(s) you would like to print. once you have selected the output settings you will have 2 empty frames (left / right cover).

to open a file in one of those you have several ways :

- click on the frame (left cover or right cover), an open image dialog will appear and let you chose your file.

- you can select file->open from the menu on top of each frame.

- you can drag & drop your file from explorer or internet explorer directly to the software.

- you can open them through the command line (launch coverxp.exe /? to get more infos)

3) for some covers type you are able to edit the spines (borders) with your own text and a background texture.

if the selected template has this option, you'll see the spines editor icon available under the cover picture.

click on it and customize your spines.

it's also possible that you want to stretch the picture to take the whole cover width (including spines).

to enable this feature, check the option setup->expand to spines in the menu on top of each cover.

4) your covers are ready to be printed, however it's suggested to preview your job before you print in order to ensure that everything is setted as you want.

to preview your job click on the preview button or select file->preview in the main menu.

verify your printer setting by selecting file->printer settings in the main menu. check the output quality and the paper type in your printer driver.

once you think your job is ready to be printed, click on the print button or select file->print in the main menu.
